Meet Coco

Coco is an American photographer and storyteller from Chicago, IL, now based in Atlanta, GA. She is the mother of five-year-old Darrin Frye and works as a technical specialist for a big tech company.

Her passion for photography began at The New York Film Academy in Manhattan, where she studied in her early twenties. During a 2015 trip to the Dominican Republic, she produced her first body of work, Faces of Samaná—a portrait series capturing everyday life through honest conversation and connection. That experience shaped her editorial style and her belief that perspective is what transforms an image into art.

Inspired by artists such as Vashtie Kola, Jacob Webster, and Joshua Kissi, Coco’s work has been featured in Vogue and exhibited at The New York Film Academy. She collaborates with artists and brands while staying true to her focus on storytelling and authenticity.

Though based in Atlanta, Coco is available for editorial, portrait, documentary, and travel photography worldwide—always with her passport ready.
