At the beginning of November, I traveled to California to attend AfroTech. I flew across the country with my Mailchimp family on an early Wednesday morning, which allowed us more time to explore. I visited the Painted Ladies, had lunch in Chinatown at Begoni, hit up Lombard Street, and hiked up Battery Spencer to get delicious shots of the Golden Gate Bridge. My journey was simple and sweet. I fell in love with San Francisco’s architecture in a matter of hours. I rode around in Lyft’s trying to take in as much as possible and capture videos from my iPhone.
During this trip, I learned that I enjoy traveling solo. It’s nothing like returning back to your hotel early just to have some down time. My days in San Fran were so filling that turning in early felt rewarding. I love a change of scene every now and then. Exploring new places has always been my medicine. This had to be one of my favorite trips. Grateful to share those moments with you.
